I've been reading about members being ripped off on e-bay and other scams, so a couple of months ago I began transcribing classifieds from my music magazines for the convenience of UK members who want a Technics keyboard but do not subscribe to magazines, and cannot find a Technics keyboard in the shops. I bought my KN7000 as a result of an ad in the magazine, drove all the way from Manchester to Eastborne to play it and felt I got a bargain.

Some of the keyboards come with stands, stools, discs, music and other "extras". So if anyone is looking for a Technics keyboard, you now have some information at hand with which to begin your search.

There are SO MANY SCAMS on ebay for a kn7000
I have reported 6 or 7 of them.. I have had the same keyboard... judging from the pics offered to me by 5 different sellers. Now they are making the auctions closed so you can't contact a prospective buyer and warn him. I did buy one from a music store in UK and had it shipped to the US..

Thank you very much for this information Chuck. I help run a Keyboard Club and I know some of our members are looking for KN keyboards at a reasonable price. Here in the UK the KN7 is like "gold dust" when there is one available it is sold before you can make the phone call. I have therefore printed your information so that I can take it to show our members at our next meeting.

PS. Talking of the Scam on the KN7s being offered on Ebay. A member of our Club reported it to our Internet Crim Squad and was told they investigate the matter. This was nearly 3 weeks ago and to date they have not been in contact, so we do not know what the outcome is.

I read your post regarding the scam. Sadly, unscrupulous people are always lurking in the shadows to lie, cheat, and steal their way to money. I know millions of people use e-bay but I wouldn't simply because of the potential to be ripped off.

My next edition of Keyboard magazine should be arriving in the mail soon. If any Technics keyboards appear in the classifieds, I'll post them here. Take care.

if anyone is interested there may be two KN 7000 available at Dawsons music in Warrington, Cheshire. they are being used by tutors for displays but i was recently contacted to say they may be available for sale. worth a try.
