... why for some topics it shows 2 replies, and there are 2, such as in brian hurst's post, but in others such as Ted Rose it shows 1, but there are none, and for Paul Worley, it shows 2 but there is only 1?

According to my visit, the two postings you mention have the same number of replies as shown. I notice the last reply in both cases was from Bebop (The Administrator) - perhaps he may be able to explain, but from all the e-mails I've been getting in the last few days, I think we should let him have the weekend off.............

Number of replies and actually replies is as
it should.
Try the update button in the browser to see if
it help.

Thanks for your replies... the problem occured in my office computer, but was ok at home.... I'll check the office PC out next week.
