This is my first post. I have had the 7000 since jan. I just now noticed this unusual sound and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. First initialize the keyboard. It only does this on two instruments. Pick the Alto Sax solosist or the Soft alto solosist in the reed section. Go to the high end of the keyboard and play the second g towards the low end. Mine makes an unusual sound. If you play any other note it sounds normal until you hit this g. The only instruments that make this sound is the alto sax.

Hi RC and welcome to the Forum. I've just checked out my KN7000 as you suggested and cannot find any problem with the Saxes.... Wonder if anyone else has your problem ??

RC, I've just had a thought - could the 'wierd sound' you describe, possibly be a cabinet resonance? When you play the particular note, try firmly touching different parts of the cabinet to damp any vibrations - just an idea - I had that problem on my KN6000 when I first got it

Did you told your dealer about the problem ?

Greetings from Belgium and lots of luck.

Hi, I had to have my KN7000 serviced because It had a poorly mounted speaker which produced an unwanted sound. There were only a few instruments that produced the unwanted sound. Heavy piano, deep accordion or organ, ect. They took a week to repair it, and all is well.

Hey Alain,
good to see you, 'long time' not seen you on SZ. Still playing along with your K7 besides your busy work?

I thank you for checking your keyboards. The change in sound is not all that bad and it is only one note and two instruments. If I was playing a song no one would be able to tell. Its not the box or speakers. It almost sounds as thought it was edited. Thank you again. This forum is a good place to get info and help.

I also have been getting vibrations from certain frequencies on certain instruments.
I know for sure that the plastic covering over the speakers is what's doing it. Not sure if this is just my unit's problem or if others are experiencing the same thing. It is annoying at times.
