Hi i have ordered a kn7000 and just wondered how long it took to do all the technical hard drive transfers and computer inputing and outputting etc, before you can actually playit? and if anyone has played it yet
and been satisfied with anything at all before they had to change it.

apart from the new sounds and styles the advantage for people not interested in using a computer is the SD card. Once you have copied all your floppies, you'll never want to look at another floppy again.

The new KN7000 is a blast to play and the sound system alone is a vast improvement over the 6500.
All one needs to do is play it and if you have ears (Good ones) you can hear the difference.
It seems to me that lots of people enjoy "playing" with the controls, etc. instead of playing music.
I find that this machine is playable right out of the box, hundreds of great accomp., rhythms, sounds.
We really seem to take the simple and make it difficult.
Some of the technical stuff that people talk about on the forum do more to turn people off than on.
Try making it simple and you will enjoy the keyboard to it's fullest.
If you want to tinker, do it but play first.
Lloyd
PS: Who needs more sounds when you have so many already? More is NOT better !

that is what i wanted to know if i can play it straight away and get good set ups from the presets straight away i can play for hours i can do the tech stuff, but first things first .have you tried the mic input at all(not the silly harmoniser thing) the 6500 was not bad at all with a little reverb.if i can play and my friend can sing straight away without messing about the machine is worth its money to me.After reading about all the bother people were having on the zone with the 7000 i was really having second thoughts
thanks for the info

I agree with you 110%. Truer words were never spoken.

I feel the SD card and speaker system alone is worth the investment. Everything else is an added bonus.

Great, great keyboard and as you said, easy and fun to play.

I agree too, if you are particularly unadventurous all you need is the music stylist and start/stop, you can ignore the other buttons
