I recorded a song with audio recorder and I want to convert it to Mp3 file. How long does it take to convert a song 3 minutes from Wav to Mp3. I tried and waited 15 minutes ...the progress bar stayed at the first block. Is this normal. There were no other programs active. No antivirus programs active.
no, it takes a few minutes but not 15. Audio recorder saves mp3 as a very compressed format, only suitable for email. You are better off converting using the jukebox program where you can select the quality, or use one of the many free programs available.

Yes thanks Alec I just tried it with jukebox progam and it succeeded. I played the mp3 file and it is not so clear. There is many jamming...I don't know if this is the right word. There is many interferance... When I record no other programs are active.
