I have the hard disk option for my KN5000 and I'd like to be able to load more than one sequence/song into memory. According to the documentation, it can accomodate up to ten depending on sequence size. Does anyone know if this is possible or not? I can make it work from a 3 1/2" disk, but not the hard disk.

Gary, check item 18 titled 10 Song Sequencer Files at the "How To" pages of my web site. In the last step where the medley is saved to disk, save that song file to the hard disk. That should give you the medly (or multiple song sequence) on the hard drive that you are looking for. http://home.att.net/~bobgrh

Bob,

I'll give it a try when I get home this evening, but as I recall when I've accessed the hard disk drive, that option does make itself available. I'll let you know how I come out. Thanks much for the quick reply. By the way, I've visited your site in the past -- well done. I really enjoy and appreciate it. Again, thanks.

You are right, Gary. You need to create the multiple song sequencer file with a floppy disk, if you are taking the songs from pre-recorded stuff, but once you have the sequencer filled with all the songs, you can save the results to the Hard Drive just like any other sequenced song.

Bob,

Thanks! I think I understand now. I play/record up to 10 songs into sequencer memory, then save all songs in memory as one song file on the hard disk. When I reload it, they are loaded back into sequencer memory the way they were saved -- true? That's an added step, but acceptable.

Yes, that's the way I would do it, although to be honest I never have. There is so little time needed for loading songs from the hard disk, I don't even use the multiple song sequencer files.
