With the warning about computer viruses I'm wondering if the viruses would cause damage to the KN-7000. i.e. if we D/L a program (rom upgrade or other programs) to a floppy disk from an infected computer and then load the floppy to the keyboard. If it infected the keyboard how would one recover?

I doubt whether any of the current or past viruses would affect a KN7000 since most viruses are targeted at Microsoft operating systems, and rely on Windows, IE, OE etc to be present, to do their nasty work. I suppose if a virus author had the desire to aquire an intimate knowledge of the KN7000 operating system, he/she could probably produce some mischievious code to cause problems. I should think the scenario is highly unlikely.......
