Hi,

My new KN2600 just arrived and i think its lots of keyboard for the money. I´ve got a few external sound modules for my backing tracks. Before i bought the KN2600 i´ve used a laptop.

It would be great to have all my midis on a sd-card and trig my external sound modules from the seq in kn2600. And in that way don´t have a computer on the stage. That would be neat.

Thanx in advance!

You can hookup any midi device to the KN2600 and play it from the KN (sequencer and/or realtime).

I guess it's all a question about for what price
you're going to sell it.
If you wait a couple of years it might be a rare
collector item, and be worth a fortune.

Oh yes ofcourse that will work out just fine. But i can´t find any way to make the KN2600 not to play with there own sounds when i trig midi-files from a SD-Card. The KN2600 sends midi like a glance and is a really great keyboard. But i need to mute the internal sounds for the backing and just use the internal sounds for my live playing (Pianos, organs etc...)

Is there a workaround then i will keep the kn2600, cuz i really like the board.

go to midi menu, part setting and turn local OFF on those parts/channels you want to internally mute.

naturally it works from the sequencer since that is how you control midi messages to external equipment for your requirements. If you meant direct play from the SD card there is an option in the KN7000 to mute any track with direct play, it depends whether the KN2600 has the same function on the direct play page.
