Regarding converting between Tyros/3000 and kn6500 -have just made similar enquiry to Klaus at Emcsoftware@aol.com (WEBSITE is www.emc-musicsoftware.de). Their Styleworks programmes can convert. But of course you have to buy the programme ! Perhaps they can suggest a retailer in Australia or maybe you can buy direct.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have one more question regarding KN7000 styles. will they work straight on the KN6 or do they have to be converted? does anyone know of a site to download KN7000 styles?

Also can someone please send me a list of all the KN7000 styles??

Thanks a million!

Since Gunnar is reading this topic, I'd just like to tell you that it was mainly Gunnar's lively, informative and humourous website that persuaded me a few years ago to buy my Technics 6500 rather than a Yam. So thanks Gunnar !

Jonnies website is the best!!

My eyes popped out of my head the other day when I saw all the styles on it. It sucks how you can only fit up to 20 custom styles on a KN6. is there a way of connecting a normal PC hard drive up to them? If so, is software needed?

can someone still please send me a list of all the KN7000 styles Please?

Check your email Nick

Re. connecting a 'normal' PC hard drive to your KN6500 - 'fraid not - the interface is just not compatible, physically or electrically
There were 2 types of very expensive special hard drives available from third party suppliers, when the KN6000/6500 was current but I think you will have a job finding one now. You could try ebay.............
