I have started a PR Piano email list for owner/players. Perhaps we can get something going here for your group. It all depends on you. So far there is one member on this list that states he does not have time to give anything but will take anything that is sent out. That will not work. It takes everyone sharing to make this work.
I will give it a try for you. If it developes into an active email list, I will keep it going and if not then it was a lousy idea and will be abondonded.
SO................ if you play a PR piano let me know and I will put you on the list. Let your contacts know also. Let me know the model of the PR piano you play.
I will also need a list of what KN model songs can be played in what PR models of pianos. Once I have that list, I can then send KN songs etc to the PR list also. You can be on more then one list also.
IT is all up to you.

Starting a PR email list is a great idea, even if it turns out not being that active and doesn't work out. I have plenty of PR easy record songs that I like to share but only compatible with a few PR models. A big draw back with PR's.

KN2000 will play on PR 303/305/307
KN3000 will play on PR 500/600/700/900. Not sure with 901/902/and 903 and their sub models.
KN5000 ?
KN6000/6500/7000 will play on the new PR604 and PR804. Limited but does work.

As far as I know, PR formatted files can not be played on KN models, not 100% sure, but believe that's the case.

Would be nice of Technics to have a universal file format converter program. So ALL models can work with each other instead of a dead end. Sad...

Hi All!

I was wondering why Technote supplies two sets of disks in some of their software titles. For example, I purchased "Piano Patterns Upgrade" for my KN6500. There were also disks for all the PR Ensembles included, although the former disks do load into my PR700, but not vice versa. Wouldn't it be great if Technics had a universally compatible format for all their instruments (similar to MIDI)?

At the end of the first week, I still have the same 4 members in the pr email list. NObody has sent me anything to forward.
I will give it one more week to see if the list develops and if not then it will be abandoned or relegated to anyone that wants to do it.
