As many know I have a PR804 and it does have mic input and it also can be setup to have sound effects. I noticed people posted topics about vocalizer/harmonizer and curious to know, is this referring to the mic special effects?

Or is this something entirely different and I'm missing the picture? If it is different, is there a vocalizer/harmonizer button somewhere? Or is this another term for Technichord???

Thanks,

Anthony

Hi Anthony,
The Vocaliser/Harmoniser is built in to the KN7000 and also the KN6xxx. It is a voice processor which can add harmony to the mic input. Generally, the harmony is determind by the chord currently being played by the left hand, on a split keyboard, but there are other options. There is not a dedicated 'Harmoniser' button on the keyboard - it is accessed via menu items (on KN7000 Program Menu/Reverb & Effect/Mic Reverb & Effect) and can be controlled by a footswitch.
I'm not sure if the PR804 has this facility but if it has, you should find some reference to it in the User Manual.
Much has be written about the Harmoniser in this forum and the general opinion seems to be that it is a waste of space
If you want a good vocal harmoniser the one which the 'Pros' use is the Digitech.

Thanks Bill:

I got a hold of a KN7000 manual but I can not find this info anywhere. What page would that be on? Unless it's in the Reference Guide, if so, don't have that.

Yes the PR804 does have MIC Effects but not sure if it has Vocaliser/Harmoniser.

[Hi Anthony,

I know my KN6K had a vocalizer but my PR54 does not. It does have some sound processor that let you raise and lower your voice or make it sound like a trumpet but WHY?

What little mention there is of the 'Harmoniser' is on page 45 of the pathetic manual

Well I know what the Harmoniser is all about now. The PR804 doesn't have it, and I guess with the feedback about this, I'm not missing much.

Thanks, ALL!
