I have the custom styles from Walt Tenay's site ... Can anyone tell me where I might be able to get other free downloads of styles for the kn6000? . I am mainly interested in jazz, and 'smooth' jazz' or new age...
thnx,
t.

Hi Tony,

You could try these links:
1. http://www.ca-software.de/
2. http://home.c2i.net/gjgotaas/
3. http://www.geocities.com/musicangelman/zip.html

Furthermore you could try some other brand
style download and convert them to Technics:
Korg: http://sjsomers.future.easyspace.com/sjsomers/stylesto.htm
Korg: http://www.angelfire.com/music4/iseries/
Korg: http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/Bayou/4990/main.htm
Roland: http://www.daytonamusic.com/rag/download.htm
Roland: http://www.xs4all.nl/~rwdewild/midi/

Regards, Ad.

Tony,

Try the KN7000 site. You can download all the stuff from the KN2000 up to the present. That should blow your mind for at least a week. The best part is you can leave your credit card in your pocket. All it will cost you is a few floppies.

Hi Tony (and Grandpa Doug),
I doubt if the songs downloaded from the technics-site are compatible with the KN6000. To my opinion they are only made and converted for the KN7000. Althought Tony, you can try it and let us hear.
Greetings,
Cees.

Tony,

Three additional suggestions. Gunnar Jonny's site has a large volume styles converted from Yamaha, Korg, and Solton. Don't forget to check older KN models as well as the KN6000 folder. There is particularly a large selection for the KN5000 which will work in later keyboards.

Note that Gunnar's styles are all free.

Next, try Algo-rhythm. Not free, but some excellent quality styles and you can hear samples before you buy.

Last, try Style Station with styles by Mike Tyo. Excellent quality, but limited selection.

Hope you find something useful to you from these links.

Well, as stated, last evening was spent searching and downloading, and there is more to do ... I STILL haven't found the jazz style I'm looking for though ... one where the drums are played with brushes and the bass is playing a simple 1-3, but on variation the drums 'double time' and the bass plays a straight 4 ... It's such a common approach to a jazz ballad that I'm really surprised there's not a style to be found ... BUT . the search goes on .... I've accomplished a similar style by using the PMs and having the tempo doubled, but it doesn't sound just right...
Thanks again to those who responded on this site and through e-mail .....

Hi Tony,

Check your mailbox. I've sent over some styles that might fill your needs.
