If you follow the link I have posted below, you can find the first real picture of the KN7000.

Thanks for posting that DutchPlayer.
Great ! BUT what about the music stand? It has already been said that it fits on the back of the keyboard but the ledge on which the music sits is going to have to be well above the base of the unit, otherwise the lift-up panel will obscure the lower area of the sheet. This may put the sheet music in such a position that it is uncomfortable to look at.
On an earlier keyboard which I had, (Yamaha 6100), which had a similar lift-up panel, a 'Flip-up' music stand was actually built-in to the top of the lift-up panel, when it was open, which put it in a very awkward position. Personally, it doesn't bother me since I don't use music. We shall have to wait and see.....

Question for Alec ..... I realize that in the photo shown in the link above the keyboard is at an angle, but what angle is the panel at relative to the kb ... is it about the same as the kn6 ? ... is it about the same to navigate the panel during live playing?

DutchPlayer .... thanks for the link ....

It looks nice and "hi-tech" ... but I'm not sure I like it for practical reasons. I like how now, the controls that are used alot while playing (fill ins, start/stop, variations, presets panel memories) are all really close at hand. On the KN-6x00 these controls are less than an inch (~2cm) away,
easy to get at them mid-song.

On the 7000, all that space just above/behind the keyboard, is just blank space! I'd like to have seen all the often-used controls in that space. ???

Don't worry, it's likely so hightech that we
don't have to play it ourselves, and if it's
possible to do it, you probably only have to
think about what to do, and it's done.

Btw, I'm very surpriced about that it is the
German sites, and also that it is Mr.Music who
is the first to show this picture.
It's strange, and I wonder why......

yes the panel is more or less at the same angle as the 6500 panel.

And though no music stand was used there are mouldings for a music stand just like the other boards. Presumably this is angled to be visible with the panel fully upright as on the other boards.

Good point about the buttons, for me the 5000 panel memories were a little too far away, with the 6000 just right for live playing. The panel mems here are all new.

We shall have to see how it is practically. I watched the demo carefully several times and the changes seemed easy, but then with a good player everything seems easy!

Unfortunately the photo does not show the interesting panel lighting effect.

I'm hoping the panel memories are called up with a number pad (0-9) and "Enter key" ... so that they could have perhaps 1000 panel memories (000 thru 999), like the new WERSI has!

Also looks like the keyboard itself is "indented" (sunken in) to the case a bit...
an unusual, unique look!

Really curious to someday see that Star Trek lighting effect?!

Yes the picture is gone.
I tolled about the picture on technote and they removed my message.
We are not allowed to see a picture off the kn7000 ....it is top secret.
I copied the picture to my harddisk.
They can't take this away.
Greetings,
Alain
