I'd like to make one more addition to the above.
Although I prefer to save a sequence in Technics mode (smaller and less trouble), there are circumstances that you want to save a sequence as SMF. For instance, when you want to play it on another MIDI device.
You should remember to put the PANEL HEADER to ON before saving, or else the instrument and volume settings are lost in the midifile you saved. I've mailed Chris Whitehead about this problem, for this was not the case with the KN6000/6500.
Furthermore, the stars representing this info in the first measure of the sequence aren't shown in the KN7000 as Karl Fueller posted on January 8, 2003.
