Hi Jan,

The answer is yes. I think at one of the memory bank you can find examples of layering.
And maybe someone else can tell you if the manual tells something about it.
I have a song (country) where in R1 one octave is a banjo and an other is a violin

if by split you mean play one voice one some keys, and then play another voice on other keys, yes, easily done in sound edit.

can also layer a split to fade the voices over an overlap set of keys.

or trigger different voices with velocity switching.

Velocity switching....wasn't there a similar function on the kn3k that would trigger the dynamic rhythm, or whatever that was called? My dealer was talking about it the other day, and never having played a kn3k, it was a little hard to visualize. Sounds like a useful function to have. I'll have to explore this velocity switching - sounds like it could be very helpful.

the 6000 has 6 levels of velocity switching available in the sound edit - you could put 6 different voices in if you wanted, and play a different voice depending on how hard you hit the keys.

the 3000 had dynamic accompaniment. this was a half fill which appeared in the backing if you played the left hand stronger, or the right hand stronger and/or quicker.

There were 2? patterns which alternated, and with the touch setting suited to you would come out of the blue and really enhance the style musically and break up the backing monotony. I liked it a lot, but they got rid of it in the 5000 because many owners never understood it, and claimed that nothing happened because they did not play well enough to trigger it. Shame.

I want it back in the composer (it only worked on the presets) fully programmable. It would be a great feature.

the dynamic accompaniment is on my old 2000
and worked really well I kept it on all the time and as you said technics player it breaks the monotony and often surprised me ,
however my question is if i midi the 2000 to the 65000 and made the 2000 the slave would this feature work or vice versa.
thanks for all your help

no, 2000 would need to be master, assign channels to the 2000 accompanimnet midi outputs (I can't remember, I think you could do this on the 2000) and set voices to those channels on the 6500.

To be fair the 6500 styles are far superior and livelier, more interesting than the 2000 presets were, which makes dynamic accompaniment less neccessary than in those days, but I still think it would be a good feature available in the composer.
