I just wanted to ask some of you on this forum who are older and more experienced than me if the Technics kn1600 was a popular keyboard when it came out in 1998? I recently purchased one thinking it was newer than the 3000 and 5000 and figured it was better. But I don't think alot of people bought them because I still haven't been able to find a style convert disc for my 1600. And I am considering selling it to get an older model Technics.

In my opinion, the KN1400/1600 wasn't that popular because of limitations. Having owned a KN1500, I regretted not getting the KN3000 instead. There is a KN6000 for sale in this forum that I'm sure you would like much better and there are more people who will help you learn the in's and out's of it's operation. Plus, the converter disk is easy to find.

Thanks for your advice and info. I would love to find a 6000 if possible. Because I am limited right now, like you said. Do you know where I can look on this site to find the kn6000?
