Hello again SynthZone friends and colleagues. Here is the latest Playalong #25, a charming Viennese waltz by Carl Zeller, a composer who had one quite successful operetta and several lesser ones, but is perhaps better remembered as a contemporary of Strauss, but without the same success.

Other than his best major work, Zeller enjoyed one more relatively major success with Der Obersteiger (1894) which, alas, has not endured as a complete operetta, although its "Sei nicht bös", for tenor solo, continues to be performed. It is that lovely song--"Sei nicht bös", "Don't Be Cross"-- that has been presented here for you all. We hope you will enjoy it.
