I have just acquired a kn2600 second hand and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get midi files on to the sd card. I did not get any software with the keyboard and do not seem to be able to get it on the net.
I have a card reader on my laptop but do not know where on the card to put .mid files so i can play them.

please help anyone

Hi,

I presume that the KN2600 procedure is the same as for the KN7000 in which case:
Select SD card, Save, SD Sound (SMF format).
You can then name and save your MIDI file.
When you examine the card using the computer the MIDI files are in the SD Sound folder and can be played on the computer. They will not sound the same as in your keyboard. To achieve this is somewhat more complex. The procedure for this can be found in the Tips and Tricks section at the following site: http://www.keso.nl/

Cheers
Len

Here is the easiest way:

Create a folder in the root of the SD card and call it IMEXPORT. Copy the midi files into this folder on the pc. Transfer to 2600 and go to SD Tools menu, SD Sound, SD Sound Import. The procedure should be obvious from the screen, select files either with * or ALL, name a playlist, and ok in the screen. You can now delete the files in the IMEXPORT folder on the pc to save space on the card.
