TECHNIC-IES..... Yes, the thread is titled "Technics Discussion...."

However, the threads that have compared the Technics to the T2 have convinced me that the Technics is/was the better choice....I did not have to buy a T2 to experience the differences & make my choice to hang onto both my 6K & my Awesome 7K.....(I have owned/played 5 Technics...also 2 Yammies.. in about 13 years.....

Yes, I know the T2 folks have their own thread also.....

It is not an assault when people talk about another make of keyboard unless you have someone who is saying mine is better than yours. Because there are those who have been abandon by Technics and wish to make a change in the future, the information is valuable.

In my posts I have given views of both keyboards, the KN7, which I love and the Tyros 2 which I have now. I given my views on what each keyboard favors hoping to help those who are thinking of changing to another keyboard.

All of my information was given to help not hinder. And of what value would it be on another forum. I have friends here and I do not wish to be concerned about telling them about positives of different keyboards.

For myself, I have a dilemma, I want the great big band sound of a KN7000 but I need to find a replacement with the new technology offered today. And I wish to build on that technology.

Not to offend, John C.

Have a very special Christmas and a healthy beautiful New Year.

I have to agree with John for the reasons cited. I too love the KN7000, but someday it will go down. Over the years I have made many friends on and through this forum. I would feel more at home here with my friends, asking how they like their replacement keyboard, whatever it is.

Then again, the KN7000 might outlast all of us, at such point the question would be mute.

Peace and the best to all.
Bernie

Why will it go down? I've only just bought a KN7000 second hand. My KN5000 I played in a band for eight years. It is still going strong and will probably go at least another eight years. Technics are bullet proof in my opinion, and I expect to play the K7 for years yet. There is enought technology in that 4 yr old keyboard to keep all of us going for years.

I'm with you Almin. I bought a 5000 secondhand, played out with it for three years, and sold it for the KN7000.

I did include a caviat saying that if we did not outlive the KN7000, that the question was moot. I sincerely hope it is.
