Jaap "Jakel" Keller

The Technics community will be saddened to hear of the passing of Jaap Keller. Jaap died on 12 November 2005, some three weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. Jaap was known to many of us from the earliest days of the old Technics of Canada forum, the mIRC chats and the Key of G" webpages. Many of his KN2000 style conversions can be found on Jonny Gunnar's website. Jaap also had a compassion for computer-art and his works can be viewed from the link on http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=13577

I'm sad and very sorry to hear about this George.
My warmest regards and deepest condolences to Jaaps wife and family.

Jaap and I did exchange some e-mails and thoughts during the years, and when he
turned the interest more into the computer 3D art direction, he gave me his work
of converted styles to post at my website. It's still there, at the KN2k pages.

It was also very interesting to see how Jaap developed his skills and the artwork
changed to be better and better.
It's been some time since I last heard from him, now I know why.

May he rest in peace.

Thanks George, Jaap was a very special talent. I still use some of his styles work from the old KN2000 days. We will miss him.
