To all the professors in the Technics University.I would like to connect my KN5000 midi to my PR903 piano and utilise the sounds and/or rhythms (because the 5000 has more, and some better of each)to reproduce inthe superior sound quality of the 903 piano.
I am told it is possible, and many have tried but to no avail. I know nothing in regard to technology so PLEEEEASE take me step by step, or do I need someone alongside to help.
I promise if you help me ,I have a better question to ask later which should create unlimited discussion and debate!!!

Hi Ray

First Lesson
First decide which is the Master and Slave.
That is are you going to play your piano and get the sounds of the KN5000?
or play the 5000 and get the piano sounds?
If you are playing the piano then the piano is the Master and the 5000 is the Slave.
You will need a midi cable to connect the Master midi out to slave midi in.
You need to set the 5000 to act as the slave.
End of Lesson One.

OK Ray,
What happens when you play the piano?(master)
Do you get sounds from the 5000? (slave)
Do you want to get the 5000 sounds from the piano speakers?
Have you set the 5000 to act as the slave?
Are you using a standard midi cable? (not a 5 pin DIN cable

Hi Bazz3,
The master/slave situation seems to be operating ok, but is not consistent.Different times the rhythm will not operate the slave rhythm and if I reverse the cable the master (now the 5000) does not operate the piano. Is there something in the sound control that needs to be pushed. The sounds are not always what is showing in the screen.
Could you update your e-mail address for further discussion, and where are you on the Great Continent. See my email address.
As you can see I have made marvellous forward progress at your direction.
