I just wonder if there is any additonal style available for the KN-7000. The 200+ internal styles are seem not enough. Where can you buy/download the additonal Technics style. Please advise. Thanks.

Hello Coca,

Bill Norrie has all the free Technics styles/patterns on his site ready for downloading plus there is a wealth of other information which I am sure you will find invaluable. The address is:-
http://www.willumspages.co.uk

Just click on the Links and you will see what a great site it is.

Audrey

Thanks for the information. One last question...Can I just buy any generic SD card reader to hook up into the Technics KN-7000.

Go to www.stylediskwarehouse.com for a comprehensive range of Technics styles, which I find very good.

Coca, you can't use a card reader, there is no suitable USB connection. The KN7000 has a built-in reader, so all you need is the SD card.

Hello Coca,

Keith is correct, you cannot use a card reader direct to the keyboard but you can connect the KN7 direct to your PC using the USB socket on the back of the keyboard.

However, if you are going to download the 'freebies' from Bill's site you may like to do it the way I did. I downloaded the styles and saved to FLOPPIES. The reason for this is because you can then load each floppy into the KN7 and get the SD Card to copy it which means you are loading 20 styles into the keyboard all at once which is much quicker than loading a single style. The styles I downloaded took 9 floppies and the bonus is they are then always available as 'backup' in case of any mishap with the SD Card.

Just a thought - Audrey

Thanks everyone. Your feedback is apreciated. For now, I was not able to find this keyboard anywhere in the US. I will temporary pick up a used Ketron XD-9 for now and wait for my opportunity with the KN-7000.
