I have not used on much, and when I did it had reversed polarity. Here is one on Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360021977634&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:Watchlink:middle:us. At $30.00 minimum,used, is there a better way of going ?

Hi Bernie,
Since the pedal offered is a genuine Technics model, it should work correctly Good Price Too!!
Maybe the pedal you used previously, was not a Technics model??
I use a SZ-E2 pedal when I'm out doing gigs and find it invaluable, for quickly controlling the volume, as the need arises.
