I have recently purchased a Novation Nio 2|4 to use with my Technics KN6000.
setup simply put: KN6000(midi out) -> Nio 2|4 (midi in) -> USB into Mac using GarageBand.
When using this setup the track recorded varies between what I am actually planing to what sounds like a child playing the keyboard, completely independently and at random times. I have tried it on a different keyboard and it works fine, but I really don't want to have to buy another keyboard! When using midimonitor downloaded off snoize.co.uk and the message coming up is constantly 'active sensing'. I have phoned Panasonic/Technics support and the guy told me I cannot turn active sensing off on any Technics keyboards.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to why this may be happening and if it is actually the active sensing that is causing this? Is there some kind of filter that I can use with GarageBand so that I don't have to buy a new keyboard?!
Thanks in advance for any help!
