Wow....2 posts in the same day, lol. I was wondering (for you software experts) what program or software do you use to convert a Technics sequence to an MP3??

Output your sequence to your PC - preferably via USB Link - and use either Goldwave or Audacity to record the file and save as an MP3.

Sounds like you're making demo disks..right..
I've disocvered that you can also pump vocals through the Kn7000 and record those at the same time using the microphone input at the rear of the keyboard...a little bit of reverb helps most voices along...

You know guys....a mind is a terrible thing to waste. I've done this before, honestly just forgot the procedure. Sadly, when my old comp crashed, I lost all of my vocals. However, I did give someone a CD of them, I may request to borrow it and rip the tracks using Jukebox. If I USB the 7000 to the comp, I can use Audio Recorder, then save as an MP3. This is what I did when I did the vocal recordings, and really, they didn't come out bad. Of course, I'm not an audio "purist" but on her CD player with decent speakers they sound OK. As far as a "demo" CD, I guess I'd need to know who would want one, lol. I'm getting a bit discouraged attempting to find a decent venue or two here in Central Florida. I've sort of had to revamp my thinking and if I want to continue to play professionally, will have to consider some travel. Not what I really want, but there aren't a bunch of other options.

I use a four-track digital recorder and a Mackie mixer for my keyboard and voice recording, it allows me to rework the balance and quality of the song.

1-Keybard into the mixer, channel 1&2 stereo
2-Microphone into the mixer channel 3&4 stereo
3-Output of the mixer into the four tracks of my recorder.

Advantages:
1-I can adjust both keyboard and voice to my liking.
2-I can add, through a channel impute the right amount of reverb to my voice.
3-If I wish I can play back the keyboard part and re-record my voice.
4-The recorder gives me the ability of putting tracks 1 through 4 onto track 1&2, allowing me to add another backing voice or whatever to the recording.
