My uncle had a KN1000 before he turned it in for the KN7000 that I am now using. I remember that there were some very good styles in that keyboard. I especially liked the Latin styles. Does anyone know if the styles in that keyboard were ever released on disks? I am aware of after market styles for that keyboard.

the kn1000 presets were never released on disk, however I have them all. They are rather limited in that they are only 2 measures long and have a single intro and ending.

Many of the styles re-appeared on the kn2000 in superior versions with 2 distinct variations, taking advantage of the increased polyphony available. These superior styles were officially released on the kn2000 reprise disks, thus I did not keep those kn1000 originals since the main variation was identical in pattern terms.

The kn1000 originals consist of 17 files, 3 styles per file, total 50, and can be loaded into the kn7000. I can zip those up and mail them if you are still interested.

The other 50 were released within the 200 styles of the three kn2000 reprise disks. I have the split identified in my archives but unfortunately those files are not at my present location. If you downloaded the free 727 style sd card I made for the old official technics site you will already have those in updated versions made for the kn7000.

Hi Technicsplayer,

Thank you, very much for you response. Since I am new to this forum, is the old official Technics website still up and if so, how is it listed? If I can’t download the free 727 style SD card, I will still be interested in your sending the originals. I didn’t know that the KN2000 had all the original KN1000 styles updated – very interesting. Thanks, again.
