I am having a long term problem when playing midi files from a computer. I have my KN7000 connected to a computer via the USB lead, If I play a midi file from my computer through say Cubase or any other sequencer software, although the drum always plays through midi channel 10 it very often plays as a piano instead of drums. If I then Initialise the KN7000 using Performance Mode and try playing the same midi file again it plays correctly ?? So the problem appears to lie within the KN7000. Also if I load the midi file via the Sound Manager program it always plays correctly. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found the reason for the intermittent error.

I think I have found the answer to the problem. I posted the same question over at KN7000.net and a guy called RoNz suggested it might be a track assign problem and suggested a fix. After all the years I have owned my KN7000 I didn't realise there was a 'Preset' option in the Sequencer Track Assign menu.
