I may have to use two KN7000s for an event I've got coming up which I could connect seperately to my amplification system but would it be simpler to midi one across to the other and take all the sound from that one?
And would that be simple or complicated...?

Without knowing more about your requirement, I can't see any reason to use a MIDI link. I would suggest you just connect the Line Outs direct to your PA System....

I'm intrigued as to your application for 2 x KN7000.... Do Tell

Hi Roger,

I would go for the linking to a good amplification system because it really enhances the sound of the KN7000, whereas using two KNs would mean just getting double the KN sound.

For me, the sound system is the only area that the Tyros 3 outshines the KN7000 and was the deciding factor in my purchase of the T3. Such a shame the KN is no longer available but, we cannot live in the past can we? Meanwhile, I'll continue to enjoy my KN7.

Good luck with your 'gig'

Audrey

Thanks Audrey but those KN keyboards haven't died in their thousands - they are all still out there somewhere...chuckle...
Bill, I thought you'd be fascinated...well the answer to your question is - I'm using two stages for my singers - www.tributeartistes.com - and probably two amplification systems and therefore potentially two keyboards...scary isn't it but there are six singers altogether!!!

In that case Rog, there would be no advantage in using a MIDI link.......

Sounds like an interesting gig

Roger, On your site I selected service and I played these two songs, “we've only just begun and memories”, they were in Mp3 format. The voices were great – how was the background created? (Instruments and voices)

Roger, you are doing fantastic work --proud of you.

John C.

PS, The simpler the set up the best chance for success.

Hi John
I use midi files which I then convert to sequenced tracks in my KN7000 which enables me to make key and tempo changes to suit the vocal qualities of each singer.

Hi Rog,
The answer is it would be much too complicated and unuseful since you would have two identical keyboards. Just copy or move over the sd card to the other keyboard.

By the way, since you seem to be more of a pianist than a keyboardist and like to play along live with the internal sequencer on your KN may I suggest you to use a 88 keys keyboard MIDIed through the KN7000 on a 2 tiers stand.
This way you have the range of an 88 notes keyboard coupled with the amazing features of your KN right in front of you.
I personaly use a Studiologic TMK88 by Fatar because it's got about the same soft feeling response of the KN and not the hammer heavy touch of many other 88 notes keyboards.
