I have recently bought a DJX2.The day i bought it i read an article, which was saying that even if you connect a DJX2 to a P.C., you cannot use it because it is not general MIDI and therefore you cannot send notes and sounds!(?)Is this true???And if it is,:-(,is there something that can be done?Whoever knows something...please answer!

General Midi has NOTHING to do with sending sounds - just sound patches(program changes).
Your keyboard will still transmit note data even if it is not a GM model.

Hi I bought the DJX2 3 weeks ago.After spending all this time trying to send MIDI data to my PC in Cakewalk i find out from someone on the internet that the damn thing can only receive data.Apparently the MIDI ports are only for Bulk dumps.I'm glad i only paid £139 for it and not the original price of £280.There is no mention of no full MIDI spec on the box or the manual.I can't believe Yamaha have done this.

If anyone knows of a workaround or software update could they let us know.
