Hi Fran

I have got the picture from the website of my music shop, Keyboardcentret.
To my best conviction they do *NOT* fake pictures.
I think the picture is scanned from a brochure, and then converted to jpg format. This process sometimes give small differences in the width of lines.

There is a substantial difference between DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform, the basic compression algorithm behind .JPG, .MPG, etc.) artifacting (which look like tiny irregular pixel-blocks) and a set of three black keys being followed immediately by another set of three black keys instead of a set of two black keys like every other keyboard ever made since the early pipe organs of the Middle Ages!

Look at the octave just past high C on that photo. The photo is faked.

Sorry Jorgen, I'd have to agree that the picture is a fake.... On the bright side though.... it may not be your beloved music store that faked it, it may be whatever catalog, brochure, etc. they "scanned" it out of. Either way.... It's hard to believe this is the wonderful 9000 Pro, I don't see a disk drive and the buttons don't look very "Professionally" arranged... not to mention the before mentioned problem of overlapping keys..... THAT'S JUST WIERD!! It may be a very bad attempt of someone trying to guess what it might look like.... but it's not the real thing.

Hi

Sure the picture is faked.
But the fact is that is has been published by two of the most well estimated music gear dealers in Denmark. http://www.keyboardcentret.dk and http://www.ke-musik.dk

The one of them, ke-musik will show the 9000pro in the week 7th to 11th October in their shops around Denmark.

A last word: Yamaha has a tradition of presenting their models very early in Denmark. I bought my PSR 740 at September 21th last year and the PSR 9000 was presented at October 4th last year.
