Well, I know a few kids in hip hop that swear by the Roland MC505... Personally i think that it maybe a bit much.. i've never really honestly given it a try, i know for sure tho that the mc303 is horrible, but it is said that the mc505 corrects all the mistakes that the 303 had

I would actually suggest the RM1x over the mc505.....The lower end sounds are far better and just the overall specs of the RM1x are nicer....

But I would say that to really decide what's right for you then you should go to a dealer that sells both and ask to have them played side by side.....you'll see what I mean about the RM1x having better sound after that
