Hi, everybody!
I need to fly abroad with my synth (15 kg)
there are 3 possible ways as I know:
1. to buy separate ticket for it and take it to the cabin next to my place(too expensive)
2. try to explain to boarding officer that the device is fragile and ask permission to give it to the cabin as cabin baggage (depends on officer's mood)
3. to transport it in baggage department in hard case like SKB (but i'm not sure that all will be OK).

Which is the most safe way to transport?

Thanks in advance,
Ian

depends what type of synth it is. If its an old, nice vintage synth that isnt a moog(moogs are unkillable) there is no safe way to do it right. Old polysynths don't gig well/

But if its a juno sixty up to the most recent models of keyboards, It should be fine in the fight case so long as it doesn't bump around in it. Most of the modern stuff has the surface mounted components on it and they are very robust.
