anyone one know if the Yamaha CS2X keyboard is just like a sound module and keyboard all in-one? can i use it midi style with cakewalk?

Yes you can use it as a sound module , the keyboard's sound is sample playback but it has nobbs for real time control . That combination is not bad and it also supports general MIDI so it will work with your MIDI system .

Cool. I hope the voices it has are far out (i.e. more than just the regular bass,piano,drums etc.) and that i can access them all via midi.

yeah i own a CS2X-> the sounds are good and the real time controls are nice but ya need a drum machine or sequencer along with it
