Hi there. Can anyone help me out? What year was my Yamaha Electone EL-40 made? It also has an MDR-10 recorder built in. Here are some pictures of it

I will check with a friend today he had a EL70. I am guessing 10 years.
There were 4 models EL40.EL60.EL70.EL90. None of these were General Midi Compatible.
I consider the EL90 better than the last model they produced EL900.

Hi Graham and thanks for your reply
I contacted a specialist and they estimated around 1994, fitting in with your guess too
Thanks again

According to the Electone Museum the EL-40 was first released in 1991. It was later replaced by the EL-400 in 2000 when Yamaha create the hundred EL line.

Cheers!
