Help me...

I have connected my clavinova to my PC via midi cables but I can't get any sound. How to configure midi channels and windows settings ???
(I have a soundblaster live and windows 98)

I've seen more than one Clavinola create a midi headache with a PC. Especially older models. They also prefer PC to Mac's - go figgure. Like anything....take it one step at a time:
1)make sure midi send/recieve is ENABLED
2)make sure channels MATCH
3)check cable connections(in2out, out2in)
4)READ your manual! (no hostility intended)
* * Fool with it a bit, you'll figure it out.

Additionally, make sure your Multimedia setup in Control Panel, has the proper midi devices choosen. (MPU-401 interface for input and output). Note* the MPU-401 in the setup corresponds to the external connections on the sb.

I have found the problem by checking the cable connection (in2out and out2in).
