this must be a typo as it is several hundred dollars over the cost new when it came to market???

It is pretty much a buyers market out there, especially on ebay. I have just recently seen a couple of KN7000's go for $3500 or more! If someone is interested in Buy It Now at $3488 I will not turn it down On the other hand I have a low starting price and a reasonable reserve price.

When the reserve price is met then the Buy I Now price goes away. I find it interesting that I have seen this happen in other auctions and in the end the selling price actually went higher than the original Buy It Now price. Just life at ebay

One other thing I happened to think of. Not everyone got such a great price when new. I know of people paying $4000 or more and not too long ago.

The other thing is these keyboards are starting to become more and more scarce along with the accessories. I think a lot of people know this and are buying one when they can at the going current rate. I also believe a lot of die hard Technics fans are getting a back up keyboard for their current KN7000. I also believe the price of this keyboard will continue to spiral up similar to a Hammond B3.
