I'm going to be brief.
Using more than 20 voices of polyphony
in a pattern, you'll start hearing
the filter do some strange stuff
to your sounds, missing the attack, etc...

Shame on Roland !

Well, that's what YOU think.
I've been using mine for more than 10
months and finally figured out
something was wrong with this synth.

I've checked other JX-305 at different
shops and all of them were bugging under the same circumstances.

If you still think your JX works fine, I can send you a Sysex file containing a particular
pattern I made with it and you'll be able to judge by yourself.

'Nuf said.

Guys,

In the Roland JV/XP Series forum, there is a thread "JV1080 vs 2080 MIDI Timing" that has 20 replies, most of which point to similar symptoms that CdSP pointed out with the JX-305. Maybe Roland never fixed their MIDI/sequencer implementation for all these years.
