You guys have it good. Last time I bought gas here in California it was still around $3.40 a gallon for premium. I must be living in the wrong state I guess.

Life's situations are always relative ... we here in the US of A were used to paying $1.30 or less for a gallon of regular gas ... now that prices have risen, we complain ... I can remember 'several' years ago paying 75 CENTS a gallon ... then came the gasoline 'shortage' and the price increase to $1.30 ... When I was in Italy earlier this year, I put e5 (5 euros) in an automatic gas pump ... the thing barely started pumping when it shut off ... so much for 5 euros worth !!! ...

$2.17 in Detroit today. Got it for $2.07 with my Kroger card - just have to buy $150 in groceries each month to get an extra 10 cents off per gallon on four fill-ups the next month.
