Any Ohio State or Notre Dame fans here? Big game coming up this afternoon. The 2 teams have met only 4 times. The first time was in 1935. OSU was winning the game handily, therefore several 2nd team players were put in. ND scored a few TDs and won the game. There was a rule at that time which disallowed the first team players to come back in until the end of the quarter... something OSUs coach overlooked. He was fired at the end of the season.

The following year they met and ND won again.

Having to wait 60 years, the 2 schools met again in 1995 and 1996 and OSU won both games by a wide margin.

Today's game carries a lot of weight, being the "rubber game", pride, and most importantly, recruting advantage, since the 2 schools are fairly close and Charlie Weiss, NDs new coach, is coming after new players in Ohio. Should be a good game.
