Hey All, newbie here.
I've been searching all ver the net for a keyboard stand that I can mount my laptop on.

I was eyeing the 2 tier stands at musicians friend but they say the crossbar width is fixed and can't be slid together to support a laptop.
My ideal setup would hold the keyboard at normal height and have a second tier that securely held my laptop.

Is there anything like that out there?

What do you use to hold/mount your laptop?

Thanks!

Hi Tony.
I have 2-tier rack like you described. I took a standard wood-grain board that you find in the shelving units section of a lumber store, Home Depot, or Menards. Its 4ft long, 12" deep, about 3/8" thick. I placed it accross the top tier. It don't look bad. Ive seen these boards available in white and black too. I only play as a hobby at home and this was cheap and functional. A hole or two could be drilled thru the board to run a small velcro strap through to secure your PC.

If you want to spend more money, you'll probably find something useful in the catalog of a manufacturer of DJ equipment or something similar.

I remember seeing a multi-tier rack at a Guitar Center or Sam Ash that had a tier designed to hold accessories. Don't remember the brand name but maybe someone out there does. I'll see if I can find it.

Good idea Ed, let me know if you find anything.

Very nifty Dave!
How did you do that?
Is that a mic stand your laptop is on?

Looks like a modified music stand.... Well, Uncle Dave????

TONY - I too use a small board/peice of shelving. The Ultimate stand will work. It comes with two sets of arms. A larger set and a smaller set. I'm talking about the Ultimate stand where the legs fold in and the arms slide through the top and it has a carrying handle. It's a very good stand by the way. I think it's actually called "Ultimate Apex, column keyboard stand"

Peace

Some of the products at the links below seem a bit pricey, but it will give you an idea of what some manufacturers have available, may even trigger an idea to fabricate something on your own.

Uncle Dave's setup looks pretty good. Its compact and can be moved around easy enough to adapt to any size setup area. If your concerned about stability, extra weight could probably be added to the base.

But, for what its worth, here's a few links.
