Friends-

I've been performing "I heard The Bells On Christmas Day" quite a bit this Holiday Season. The song appeals to me on several diferent levels.

Firstly, its a well constructed tune with a wonderfully expressive melody. The Lyric is thoughtful and also well timed and balanced. It has dignity and a directness that touches me.

Lastly, it was requested last year by the Mother of a serviceman who is deployed in Iraq. The tenderness of the song resonates strongly with her and as a result, myself and many others.

Here's a link explaining how the song came to be:

The lyric, IMO, is timeless and quite topical in a time of much war, conflict and uncertainty.

I hope to put up my version of this song before the New Year...

Peace...
