Several more "seasoned" guys worth listening to:

* David Benoit
* Dave Grusen (GRP)
* Bob James (Fourplay)

Older, but still "coolin"!

Michel Camilo has been mentioned in a previous post by raymb1. He's a master, saw him play in Boston in a place called the "Regatta Bar" man has he got chops. http://www.michelcamilo.com I've been a fan of his for lots of years. You may also want to check out the music of the late "Bobby Enriquez" .

Other of my favorites;
The late James Williams
Dave McKenna (great left hand)
I've seen both these pianists live in small venues and they were both a treat to see.

Ray...."Junior Member"? Maby in terms of time here, but certainly not in knowledge and appreciation of the Giants of jazz piano.

You've got an admirable, in depth knowledge and appreciation of the greats....all historic favorites of mine.

Thanks Captain Russ. Those guys and others have shaped my playing for the last 40 years. I still enjoy playing and learning every day. Later, Ray
