What a hoot! Nigel, my kid, a really decent bass player, is facinated with ukes. I got him a Kona Blaster. The bridge is made out of a rifle casing. Rumor has it that the early ones were recalled because the casing still had a primer. He also converted an Epiphone Mandobird into a uke. We've downloaded all kinds of wierd uke stuff, including footage of a young oriental guy playing the hell out of "While my guitar gently weeps" in a park somewhere. It was fantastic.

I'm sure he'll really get a big kick out of this clip then. It sure brought a smile to my face when I first saw it but at the same time I was really impressed with well how they made it work for the ukelele. Who'd have thought!!!!! Next it'll be uke versions of Black Sabbath and Metallica.

The amaising player I've seen on a clip playing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is Jake Shimabukuro. When I get Time, I'll try to fuind the clip, but check this guy out if you ger the
chance!

Thanks, Nigel...couldn't find the link last week. Every time I see it, I'm encouraged about young people, ambition, raw talent and the vast creative and expressive possibilities with music. This "ain't" Country Roads" but it will have to do (HA HA).
