Just got off the phone with Tony, our buddy from down south. Sadly, his business was demolished. He and his family are fine, but the business is gone. He is still without electricity, and wanted me to let all of you know what's going on. He says he'll be back in touch as soon as power is restored.

He is evaluating things now and will make the decision to rebuild or not soon.

He's a survivor, and is really appreciative
that those he cares about are fine.

Let's all wish him the best, and hope he is back "singin" and "lyin" to all of us as soon as possible.

All the best, friend, to you and yours,

Russ

Tony, thankfully your family is safe,we all wish you well, with whatever you decide to do,the gulf of mexico has certainly had some rough times, even a paradise island can have its downsides, its a real shame.

That's great to hear that Tony and his family are safe. But so sorry to hear about his financial loss.

Is there anything we can all do to help Tony through this Russ ? I know I'd be more than willing to help support him with a donation. I know Tony is the sort of guy that would do the same for me if the worst happened.

Nigel, same here...In fact if you want to dedicate your support link[PayPal] for a period of time...I would whole heartily support the effort..Unfortunately, we could not contribute enough to really help, but we should try to support our friends in any way we can..

Nigel and others:

I know there are a lot of us who would like to help. Please see the general arranger post for some suggestions. My concern is, with the extent of the damage, a wire transfer or even the mail may not be possible yet. I could call Tony again to see if there's any way to get things to him. I plan to call tomorrow anyway to see how things are going.

I never met him, but he appears to be a "big
old teddy bear", great dad, "fancy dresser"
(you know, those "puffy shirts"), and most importantly, ONE OF US!

One idea I just thought of. One of my clients is Liberty Alliance Federal Credit Union. They have VISA gift cards this year.
They're available in denominations of between $10.00 and $500.00. I believe they cost $2.00 or $2.50 each. Donations could be sent to my attention at the Credit Union. I'm there Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. Multiple cards could be sent as donations accumulate.

Or, maby we can ask Gary, who everyone trusts, and who was on his way to visit Tony to be the "banker".

Let's put our heads together had figure a way to help our friend. However we do it, I'M IN!

Again, like I've written in "General Arranger KB Forum", let me know the account number for the money transfer and I'll give a little gift (not much but more than nothing).

ONE FOR ALL and ALL FOR ONE!!!
