Hi,

I'm still new here and am wondering if anyone here uses a Yamaha WX5 to control synth modules?

Welcome Bob,
I'm an ex WX5 owner (note, I don't say player!).
I'm very familiar with yourself and your web site from those days. Now I just stick to keyboards as I did find the wind controller a little difficult. Started late (in my 70's)and never mastered the fingering.

As a life-long sax player, I find the WX fingerings quite natural. On the other hand, I have to work very hard while playing the keyboard. But the guitar fingerings are easy for me. I suppose it depends on natural abilities to an extent.

What sound module did you use with your WX?

Sorry for the late reply, been in Europe for 6 weeks, was called a holiday, but my tired feet didn't have too much of a holiday!!
When I had the WX5 I used the Yamaha VL70m with Patchmans EPROM plus a Fantom XR, also with Patchman's voices. Nothing but the best, but I could never get the hang of it. I guess you should start young.
