what bit of hardware is it in this video?

when the synths come in
the guy uses his fingers to change the pitch or something on this bit of hardware
does anyone know what it is?
details would be good because really want to look into getting one..

The Kaoss Pad really is a fun controller. I played with one myself back at Winter NAMM in Anaheim.

I bought one, and my son did an art performance kind of thing with it at a local coffee house recently.
Pretty cool toy!
