How GREAT! Damon is one of the funniest guys around...talented family.
Lou Rawls was also one of my favorites. His daughters rode horses, and he would come to Lexington in the 80's and stay at the Campbell House (where I played) while they shopped for horses and trained. He is missed.
Recently, during a scheduled colonostomy, during prep, the nurse said I couldn't drive for 24 hours. My son was going to drive me home, but I had a big job in progress that I needed to check on that evening, so I told her I would have to cancel. She told me that 10-20% of the people did the proceedure without anethetics, so that's what I did (that "hard right" into and back out of the large intestine was a bitch). The doctor commented that in the 20 years he was doing the proceedure, he had only done two others without "help". I told him that the nurse had said that 10-20% did. He pointed to my hand and the IV. He said they keep the IV in because 10-20% try, but most bail and ask for the help.
What a pain in the ***.
Thanks for sharing the clip!
