Cool! The UK Faculty/Alumni club I belong to has a Wirlitzer from the 30's, 5,000 pipes and a German player attached. The entire structure is designed around the instrument. Remote player activators are located in 10 or so places. It is one of only 5 or so surviving player units. The rest were deatroyed during the war.

Sadly, the cost to restore would be so prohibitive that the Club can't justify the price.

My father was intrumental in the construction of the Compton organ in the Gaumont Cinema in North Finchley, North London in 1938. The building has long since been demolished, but the organ lives on at a little country pub (at which a special extension had to be built to accommodate the organ, plus a small electricity sub-station to be installed) about 30 miles north of London.

Those old theatre organs were certainly something to behold.
