George's observations of mankind were always very enlightening not to mention very funny. We have lost a real gem who made the world a better place.

How sad! Carlin was a genius! As a kid, he was the one who showed me that comedy could be effectively used to make social/political statements.

He was a giant in his field, and got international recognition for doing things his way.

I'll really miss the "hippy dippy" weatherman!
