I just wanted to say how proud I am to be an American today and how fortunate I was for the honor and privilege to vote for my next president and senators.

My polling place is 5 min from my house ... I left at 9:10AM and was back home at 9:25AM ...

I heard the Gov of NJ stood in line for 1 1/2 hours to vote ... just like normal folk ...

Me too, except I did not vote for my next President OR Senators, but apparently others did ...

Can anyone explain why every state does not have the same voting system, and how voting 'equipment' is allotted?
While there was no line at the time I went, there have been other years, and we had a number of "booths/tables" to make our selections, but only one machine to put the card in ... and chas, our town is not a 'poor' community ...

It took longer to drive to the polling place than it did to vote. In and out in less than 5 minutes.

Did early voting last Saturday.

Went to a library on the North side of Fort Pierce Florida. There were two people in line ahead of us, waited about 3 minutes to vote.

Filled in the bubbles in the optically scanned ballot and fed it into something that looked like a shredder

No problems at all.
